KASE Care offers care services for service users in need of specialised endocrine care for disorders that may affect glands and organs such as the thyroid, testes, ovaries, pancreas, parathyroid, pituitary and adrenal glands.
There are several types of endocrine disorders, including diabetes which can manifest into thyroid disease, growth disorders and sexual dysfunction amongst others. The endocrine system, a network of glands which produce hormones, is what helps the body to control important functions such as converting calories into energy.
Endocrine disorders range in severity, especially when proper care and treatment is not administered to the service user. The KASE Care team is on hand to ensure that the service user, as well as their family, receives the support and assistance they need to manage the condition and its symptoms. Our team will create a tailored care plan, discussing individual needs with the service user and family, to suit. Any changes to this will be communicated with you prior to being implemented.
Generally, endocrine diseases are grouped into one of two categories, which are:
- Hormone imbalances when a gland produces too much or too little hormones
- Endocrine disease from lesions (such as tumours) in the system
There are many reasons as to why an endocrine disorder may occur, ranging from injury and disease to genetic disorders and tumours. KASE Care is able to grant access to an endocrinologist who is specially trained to offer advice and treat disorders relating to the endocrine system, as well as diagnosing the root cause for the issue.
